TONOPAH, Nev. - The Bureau of Land Management, Tonopah Field Office, is seeking public comment on the proposed sale of public lands to Esmeralda County, Nevada, (N-94266). The sale, requested by the County, will resolve long-standing inadvertent unauthorized occupancy issues within the historic mining townsite of Gold Point in support of the Administration’s goal of serving the American family.
A Notice of Realty Action for a non-competitive direct sale was published on August 27 in the Federal Register. Interested parties may submit comments regarding the direct sale, whether the land is physically suitable for the proposal, or if the direct sale is consistent with State and Federal programs. Public comments will be accepted for 45 days until Oct. 10, 2018.
Written comments about the direct sale may be mailed to the BLM Tonopah Field Office, Bureau of Land Management, 1553 So. Main St., P.O. Box 911, Tonopah, NV 89049, faxed to 775-482-7810, Attn: BLM Tonopah Field Manager. Before including your address, phone number, e-mail address, or other personal identifying information in your comment, you should be aware that your entire comment - including your personal identifying information - may be made publicly available at any time.
