COTTONWOOD, Idaho - The Bureau of Land Management’s Cottonwood Field Office is recruiting for seasonal positions for the upcoming 2019 field season. Recruitment begins March 11 and runs through March 22. Positions include park rangers (recreation and river patrol), range aids and/or technicians. Job vacancies and instructions on how to apply can be found online at www.usajobs.gov.
Unlike previous years, recruitment of vacancies for seasonal help will no longer be open into August, so potential applicants are encouraged to apply right away. The field office will begin reviewing applications in early April.
One to three individuals will be hired for each position. Starting pay is dependent upon education and experience, and ranges from $11.04 to $17.18 per hour. Some positions would begin working in late spring or early summer, with the work season running through September. In addition to exposure and work experience in natural resources, temporary seasonal employees build annual and sick leave and have the option to participate in federal health benefit programs.
The field office will extend office hours upon request from potential applicants to assist them with the application process. Normal office hours are from 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
