GLENNALLEN, AK - The Bureau of Land Management’s Glennallen Field Office is seeking public comments on a proposal by Copper Valley Telecom to construct a wireless communication site in Paxson that would upgrade and enhance wireless service along the Richardson and Denali Highways.
The proposed project would be located approximately 1,000 feet north of AT&T’s Paxson telecommunication tower and includes construction of a 190-foot tower, generator building, communications building and solar array. Copper Valley Telecom is seeking a 30-year authorization on approximately one-half acre of BLM-managed public land.
Comments on the proposal will be accepted until Oct. 7 and will be used to inform the environmental assessment.
