PHOENIX - The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Hassayampa Field Office announces the temporary closure of public lands in Maricopa County for the Vulture Mine Off-Road Challenge official permitted off-highway vehicle race. The closure will occur from Friday, January 17 through Sunday, January 19.
Public safety is a top priority for the BLM, and temporary closures for this event provide for the safety of the public and race participants. All public lands located on the interior of the race course, as well as the race course itself, will be temporarily closed to public entry, unless specifically excepted. Maps and information regarding the designated race course and impacted closure area are available at the BLM Hassayampa Field Office located at 21605 N. 7th Ave., in Phoenix.
