(FORT BENTON, Mont.) - The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) plans to construct a new warehouse and equipment storage facility in Fort Benton to replace an old warehouse which was no longer adequate. The work should begin before the end of July and finish this winter.
The new facility will provide inside storage for equipment and materials to support BLM sites for the Upper Missouri River Breaks National Monument and the 149-mile Upper Missouri National Wild and Scenic River.
The new warehouse will be constructed within the Fort Benton National Historic Landmark and will have a historic facade on Front Street, the street adjacent to the Missouri River. The building is fashioned to depict three different businesses all designed to fit in with late 19th century Fort Benton. Watch for updates as construction continues through 2020.

A contract has been awarded to Guy Tabacco Construction a family-owned business in the Great Falls area.
