BLM temporarily closes Santa Cruz Lake Recreation Area for public safety

TAOS, N.M. - The Bureau of Land Management Taos Field Office has temporarily closed access to the Santa Cruz Lake Recreation Area due to winter weather conditions and public safety concerns. The lake is currently covered in a sheet of ice and may be dangerous to the public if they visit the area. The BLM will continue to assess the area and will notify the public when conditions allow the reopening for public use.
