BLM Arizona offices' flags to fly at half-staff to honor firefighting personnel Jeff Piechura And Matthew Miller

By order of BLM Arizona State Director Raymond Suazo and effective immediately until sunset Wednesday, July 14, 2021, flags at BLM facilities in the State of Arizona are to be lowered to half-staff in honor of Matthew Miller and Jeff Piechura. Matthew and Jeff lost their lives on Saturday, July 10, 2021, while conducting visual reconnaissance and aviation command and control over the Cedar Basin Fire in Mohave County. We honor and salute their service and sacrifice to protect lives, communities, and natural resources.
