Montrose, Colo. - The Southwest Resource Advisory Council field trip planned for October 20th has been cancelled due to low attendance. The field trip was intended to discuss resource management complexities on the Alpine Loop near Silverton, and there is no plan to reschedule at this time. The virtual Resource Advisory Council meeting is still scheduled for October 21st.
All 15-member Resource Advisory Councils in Colorado are forums for providing advice and recommendations to the BLM on various resource and land management issues. The Southwest Resource Advisory Council advises the BLM Colorado Southwest District, including the Gunnison, Uncompahgre, and Tres Rios field offices.
