WHITETHORN, Calif. - Updates on current and future projects in the Bureau of Land Management King Range National Conservation Area will be provided in a virtual public meeting set for Wednesday, Nov. 17, from 4 to 6 p.m., via Zoom. Time will be provided for questions from participants and answers from the King Range staff.

King Range Manager Mike Holt will lead the session. Agenda topics include status of the Punta Gorda Lighthouse restoration project, status of current and planned fuel break and forest health projects, the Mal Coombs stairway project, road maintenance and online firewood permits.
The BLM manages the King Range NCA in ways compatible with the Biden administration’s “America the Beautiful" initiative, which aims to provide opportunities for outstanding recreation experiences, while sustaining the health of the public lands.
