BLM issues temporary public land closure in Cibola County for abandoned vehicle removal from Bluewater Creek Area of Critical Environmental Concern

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Rio Puerco Field Office is temporarily closing the parking area, trailhead and trail at Bluewater Creek Area of Critical Environmental Concern on Wed., May 18 between about 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. The closure is necessary to remove three abandoned vehicles to eliminate health and safety risks, visual nuisances, and potential negative impacts to wildlife, their habitat and water resources. Access to the affected areas will continue following completion of the removal operations.
