The U.S Department of State, Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs published 96 the month before, marking a 27 percent increase for the current month.

The Agency implements and promotes US foreign policy in Eurasia and Europe including national security, democratic support, civil society, and the enlargement of NATO. EEA also supplies Europe with humanitarian and economic assistance.

One of the Bureau’s top objectives is to reduce Russia’s supply of natural gas to Europe. The bureau is trying to convince several European and Eurasian governments to diversify their natural gas supplies by building pipelines that would bypass Russia.
