U.S. Department of Agriculture publishes six press releases in August

There were six press releases published by the U.S. Department of Agriculture in August.

The most recent press release, "Biden-Harris Administration Invests $75 Million to Provide Clean Drinking Water and Safe Wastewater Infrastructure in Rural West Virginia," was submitted on Aug. 31.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture published three press releases the month before, marking a 100 percent increase for the current month.

The Department is primarily focused on food nutrition, with assistance programs making up 80 percent of its budget. Downsizing the Federal Government, a project aimed at lowering taxes and boosting federal efficiency, said the Department implements too many regulations and restrictions and impedes the economy.

The USDA's budget for 2021 sat at $146 billion, with programming costing $119 billion.
