The UN General Assembly (UNGA) represents an opportunity for the world to come together to address the most pressing global challenges we are facing today.

The 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA 77) opened September 13, 2022, with High-Level Week taking place September 19-23 in New York. High-Level Week is going to be busy, with world leaders and delegations coming to the city from all over the world.

President Biden, Secretary Blinken, and Ambassador Thomas-Greenfield will be participating, and dozens of other senior U.S. officials will help lead the charge on advancing the United States’ priority issues for UNGA 77:

  • Combating Food Insecurity;
  • Advancing Global Health and Global Health Security; and
  • Upholding the UN Charter and Shaping the UN’s Future.
I’m really honored to be traveling to UNGA to help share the work of U.S. officials and the excitement that is UNGA — because, for all the acronyms and jargon, what happens at UNGA matters. The discussions that happen at UNGA, and the decisions made here affect you.
