You are invited to join Fire Island National Seashore on Saturday, September 24 10 am-Noon, as we host a volunteer event at the historic William Floyd Estate for National Public Lands Day. This day is the nation’s largest, single-day volunteer effort for public lands. We are looking for volunteers to help spruce up the grounds around the home of a Signer of the Declaration of Independence, William Floyd!Those planning to participate are encouraged to wear sturdy shoes, long pants, and light-colored shirt. Bring plenty of water and snacks.
