The following press release was published by the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of the United States Attorneys on Sept. 30. It is reproduced in full below.

DAVENPORT, IA - Antonio Lashawn Warfield, age 39 of Des Moines, was sentenced on Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2022, to 105 months in prison following his guilty plea to Felon in Possession of a Firearm.

In September 2019, law enforcement was contacted about Warfield driving a silver Chrysler 300 sedan brandishing a pistol and threatening people. About six weeks later, on Oct. 22, 2019, law enforcement conducted a traffic stop on a silver Chrysler 300 sedan driven by Warfield. A search of the car revealed a loaded semi-automatic pistol concealed in the driver’s seat area of the car. At the time of the stop, Warfield knew he had been previously convicted of a felony and was prohibited by law from possessing a firearm.

United States Attorney Richard D. Westphal of the Southern District of Iowa made the announcement. The Davenport Police Department investigated the case.
