Fee Free Day at Acadia National Park

Fee Free Day at Acadia National Park

The following press release was published by the U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service on Sept. 26, 2006. It is reproduced in full below.

On Saturday, Sept. 30, Acadia National Park will celebrate the annual Fee Free Day. On that day, the National Park Service will join other U.S. Department of the Interior bureaus and the U.S. Department of Agriculture Forest Service in waiving entrance fees.

All park entrance fees, including commercial tour entrance fees, will be waived. The waiver is for that one day only, and doesn’t apply to camping fees at Blackwoods or Seawall.

Golden Age, Golden Access, Acadia Annual passes, and National Park passes will still be available for purchase at all normal locations throughout the park.
