* The Willow Beach access road (off Highway 93), washed out from flooding in the early morning hours of Saturday, October 14 remains closed. The NPS is estimating that the access road and developed area will remain closed for at least one week. Willow Beach is about 13 miles south of Hoover Dam. It is on the Arizona side of Lake Mohave and is a very popular recreation spot for Southern Nevadans and Arizonans.
* The river raft, canoe, and kayak trips in Black Canyon will resume once the road is safe to travel on.
Additional Road Closure:
* The St. Thomas access road remains closed at this time. The St. Thomas Road is just north of the Overton Beach Marina and east of Valley of Fire State Park.
We feel fortunate that there were no reported injuries, fatalities or missing persons associated with the storm and subsequent flooding.
Additional updates will be sent via email as soon as new information becomes available.
