To honor veterans, beginning this Veterans Day, Nov. 11, 2006, U.S. veterans, current members of the U.S. armed forces and their families will be admitted free-of-charge on Veterans Day to Rocky Mountain National Park and most other public lands administered by the Department of Interior. The administrative fee waiver of entrance fees will apply annually on Veterans Day at public recreation lands managed by Interior’s National Park Service.
“Rocky Mountain National Park staff welcome U.S veterans, members of the U.S. armed forces and their families to enjoy the park’s breathtaking views, wildlife viewing and recreational opportunities always, but we would especially like to honor their commitment to our country on Veterans Day," said Vaughn Baker, Park Superintendent.
