Concessioner Selected for Operation of Guided Day Hiking and Backpacking

WEST GLACIER, MONT. - National Park Service (NPS) officials announce a new concession contract for guided day hiking and backpacking services in Glacier National Park has been awarded to Glacier Guides, Inc. The new concession contract will expire Dec. 31, 2016.

Glacier Guides, Inc. (formerly Glacier Wilderness Guides) is owned by Cris Coughlin, Randy Gayner and Denny Gignoux. Glacier Guides, Inc. has held an authorization for similar services since 1983. Glacier Guides, Inc., doing business as Montana Raft Company, also operates guided river rafting on the North and Middle Forks of the Flathead River under permit from the U.S. Forest Service.
