Author Catherine Stier to Sign Children’s Books at Mount Rushmore National Memorial

The Mount Rushmore History Association Bookstores at Mount Rushmore National Memorial will host author Catherine Stier for a book signing on Thursday, July 3rd from 9:00 a.m. until noon in the Lincoln Borglum Museum and Visitor Center. She will be signing two children’s books, If I Were President and her newly released book, If I Ran for President.

If I Were President features a multicultural cast of kids as they imagine themselves in the role of President of the United States. The book was named an Honor Book by the Society of School Librarians International and an IRA Los Angeles’ 100 Best Books.

If I Ran for President depicts children from varied backgrounds imagining what it would be like to run for the highest office in the country.

Stier has worked as a professional writer for more than 10 years. She has taught continuing education writing classes for both children and adults at William Rainey Harper College in Palatine, Illinois.
