Seashore Re-opens after Hanna

Harkers Island, NC - Superintendent Russel J. Wilson announced that on Sunday morning a post-storm assessment of impacts to park resources, facilities and historic structures was performed. The initial assessment revealed only minimal impact to facilities and buildings and typical storm impacts on seashore beaches.

Superintendent Wilson announced that all areas of Cape Lookout National Seashore reopened to visitors, and all services resumed at 11:00 AM on Sunday, Sept. 07, 2008.
