Rangers Investigate Probable Suicide at Grand Canyon

Grand Canyon, AZ. - At 7:00 a.m. this morning, the Grand Canyon Regional Communications Center received a report that a male subject was found deceased in a residence within Grand Canyon National Park.

Upon arriving at the residence, located in an area of the park known as Trailer Village, park rangers found the body of an older man, lying in bed. Rangers are investigating the incident as a probable suicide.

The body has been transferred to the Coconino County Medical Examiner’s office. The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending positive identification and notification of next of kin.
