(Corpus Christi, Texas)- Superintendent, Joe Escoto, announced today, that there will be three fee-free weekends this summer.
America’s Best Idea, the national parks, gets even better this summer…it’s free! We invite you to come by for a visit, to relax, to learn a little about this great nation, and to just have fun.
Tough economic times call for economical fun, and you can’t beat America’s 391 national parks for family time, fresh air, and opportunities to learn about our great parks.
These three weekends are a chance for a free visit to a park that has an entrance fee, and Padre Island National Seashore is one of these parks. To locate other parks, visit www.nps.gov.
The three fee-free weekends are the following:
* June 20-21, 2009 (Father’s Day weekend)
* July 18-19, 2009
* August 15-16, 2009
