NEW AND EXPERIENCED ANGLERS INVITED TO FREE FISHING DAY EVENT AT LAKE MEAD JUNE 13

LAS VEGAS - The National Park Service, the Nevada Department of Wildlife, the Bureau of Reclamation, the University of Nevada, Las Vegas - Public Lands Institute, and have special events planned for Free Fishing Day on Saturday, June 13 at Lake Mead.

Boulder Harbor Fishing Pier will be the location for a free fishing clinic, casting lessons, water safety information, quagga mussel education, and a fish art booth. Free loaner reels and bait will be provided. Kids will get their own tackle boxes while supplies last.

The registration for this event will be begin at 7:30 a.m. and the instruction will take place from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. For more information about this event, please call the Alan Bible Visitor Center at 702-293-8990. Anglers participating in the event at Boulder Harbor can have their entrance fee waived, just let the entrance station know you are there for free fishing day.
