On July 27, 2009, the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area will begin site work and installation for a new restroom facility at Cochran Shoals, the Columns Drive entrance. While work is being completed, portions of the parking lot will be periodically closed with physical barriers to prevent visitor parking which might interfere with utility work. Approximately one-quarter of the lot may be closed at a given time. The scheduled operations are expected to last approximately 60-90 days.
