Sheridan Steele, Superintendent, Acadia National Park, is pleased to announce that Paul Crowley, maintenance worker, and Cheryl Sullivan, volunteer for the Maintenance Division, have been chosen as the 2009 Acadia National Park Employee Safety Award winners.

Paul Crowley’s efforts in providing a safe, healthy environment for park employees have helped reduce the number of accidents, injuries and illnesses at Acadia National Park. The performance of his daily actions and duties exemplifies his support for Acadia National Park’s Safety Program.

Cheryl Sullivan’s attitude, enthusiasm and commitment to Acadia National Park’s Safety Program have assisted Acadia National Park in reducing the injury and Accidents Park wide.

The Acadia National Park Safety Award Program was created to recognize employees who demonstrate a commitment to improving the safety and welfare of park visitors, employees and volunteers.
