Bartlett Cove Dock Repairs Scheduled

Bartlett Cove Dock Repairs Scheduled

The following press release was published by the U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service on Oct. 14, 2009. It is reproduced in full below.

Starting Oct. 23, 2009, Global Offshore Divers will begin replacement of all sacrificial anodes on the fuel dock float and pilings, the sheet pile wave barrier, and the public dock float and pilings. Workers will be present 7 days a week until Thanksgiving. The 4 person crew will work mostly from a temporary float, however material staging and other support activity may reduce available parking at the Visitor Information Station lot and require temporary closures of the boat launch ramp, both floats, the vehicle ramp, and transient vessel tie up areas of the public dock. The contractor will clear the dock and provide one hour for public vehicle access several times per day. Closures may occur on short notice. The work schedule will be weather dependent and may change often. For up to date information on access and closures please call Jacob Ohlson at 907-697-2602.
