The following press release was published by the U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service on Nov. 30, 2009. It is reproduced in full below.

When winter arrives, where do wild animals go? Bring your children, ages 4 to 8, to Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge from 1 PM to 2 PM and find out. Listen to a winter story, enjoy a short nature walk with a ranger, and create an edible decoration for the birds and animals! Children must be accompanied by an adult. Reservations are required. Call (718) 318-4340 between 9 AM and 5 PM for information and to make a reservation. Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge, a unit of Gateway National Recreation Area, is located in Queens between Howard Beach and Broad Channel.
