Celebration of Cultural History at Pinnacles this Weekend
Pinnacles National Monument - On May 29 and 30, 2010, Pinnacles National Monument will host the Memorial Day Weekend event, Pinnacles Fingerprints. This event will trace the legacy of people at Pinnacles and examine their unique connections to the land. From local Native Americans to early settlers and homesteaders, this event will feature ranger programs, exhibits, storytelling, information tables, and living history demonstrations.
Living History Demonstrations may include: Ice Cream Making, Dutch Oven cooking, Blacksmithing, Spinning, Chair Weaving, Native American Games, and other examples of human activity at Pinnacles. See schedule below for topics and times of all programs. All events beging at or near the Pinnacles Visitor Center in the campground on the park’s east side.
