Park Staff Using Firewise Standards to Protect Structures

Fire management staff at Rocky Mountain National Park will be reducing fuels around the Beaver Meadows Visitor Center, park housing area and adjacent buildings to better meet Firewise standards pertaining to defensible space to protect structures. Work will include limbing trees, removing ladder fuels and removing selected trees adjacent to structures. For more information on Firewise standards visit www.firewise.org.
