Draft Environmental Impact Statement for Extension of F-Line Streetcar Service to Fort Mason Center Now Open for Comment

Location: Golden Gate Room, Building A, Fort Mason Center

Time: 7-9 pm

This public meeting is designed to inform and involve the public about the purpose and need for federal action, proposed alternatives, issues, and the decision-making process. The meeting will be an open house format that will include maps and displays about the proposed alignment for the F-Line Extension through the two NPS units and about the EIS process. NPS and technical staff will be there to answer questions and listen to comments.

There are several ways for the public to provide comments on the DEIS, including filling out a comment form at the public meeting, submitting comments online through a link on the National Park Service Planning, Environment and Public Comment site, https://parkplanning.nps.gov/streetcarextension, or by mailing comments to:

Comments must be received by May 17, 2011 to be considered in the preparation of the Final EIS. Please note that names and addresses of people who comment become part of the public record. The NPS will make all submissions from organizations, businesses, and individuals who identify themselves as representatives or officials of organizations or businesses available for public inspection in their entirety. Before including your address, phone number, e-mail address, or other personal identifying information in your comment, you should be aware that your entire commentincluding your personal identifying information-may be made publicly available at any time. While you can ask us in your comment to withhold your personal identifying information from public review, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to do so.
