The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the National Park Service (NPS), and the Volpe Transportation Systems staff are developing an Air Tour Management Plan (ATMP) for commercial air tours in and around Haleakalā
The community is invited to participate in a series of open house meetings hosted by the FAA and NPS. From April 12 through 14, we will be sharing the proposed ATMP alternatives and seeking public comment specific to these alternatives:

If you would like more information, you can go the Haleakalā National Park website, https://www.nps.gov/hale, and select the Air Tour Management Update link on the homepage. If you are unable to attend the meetings but would still like to comment, please go to the NPS Planning, Environment and Public Comment website, https://parkplanning.nps.gov/hale. After the public comment period has ended, the alternatives may be refined, dismissed from further consideration, or new alternatives may be considered. Alternatives going forward will be analyzed in a Draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS). The Draft EIS will then be circulated for public review and comment at a later date.
