Join our Artist in Residence (AIR) at Buffalo Point Ranger Station at 3:00 pm on June 2nd for an introductory discussion and activity on capturing that perfect outdoor image with your print or digital camera. This program is limited to twelve participants. Sign up at the Buffalo Point Ranger Station in person, or call (870)449-4311. Those twelve years old and under must be accompanied by a parent. Everyone will have to provide their own camera and Universal Serial Bus (USB) cord for uploading to the AIR editing machine.

The participants will gather with our Artist in Residence at the Lower Visitor Contact Station at 9:00 am on Friday, June 3rd for a trek around the campground, capturing the sites of Buffalo Point in digital image. Then to the Upper Visitor Contact Station for editing and selection of the “best of the best", which will be presented to the public during the Evening Program on Saturday.

The participant group, a Park Ranger and the Artist in Residence will present their “day in pictures" in the campground amphitheater on Saturday, June 4th at 8:30 pm, as well as show a short film about renowned Artist Thomas Hart Benton’s visit to the Buffalo River.

Then the AIR and participants will gather once more on Sunday, June 5th for a “wrap up" session on outdoor photography in the Amphitheater.
