Nature Conservancy Dedication

The following press release was published by the U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service on June 4, 2011. It is reproduced in full below.

The Nature Conservancy received a generous gift of land from Dr. Fred Stone on Saturday, June 4th. Dr. Stone donated a total of 66 acres of his private property to the Nature Conservancy. The donation included 12.6 acres that fell within the boundary of the Obed Wild and Scenic River.

A total of 51 visitors attended the ceremony at the park's Boulder Field. The dedication included a scavenger hunt and a story-telling activity.
