LAS VEGAS - The National Park Service has released visitor statistics for Fourth of July weekend. They encompass visitor use and incident statistics from Friday, July 1 through Monday, July 4 throughout Lake Mead National Recreation Area, which includes both lakes Mead and Mohave.

Park rangers responded to multiple boating accidents and disabled boats in the park as a result of thunderstorms on Sunday. Over 50 park visitors were rescued, saved and/or medically treated as a result of park ranger emergency response during the four day period.

Total Visitation: 107,906 visits
