KEYSTONE, SD - Beginning Sunday Aug. 14, 2011, the Evening Lighting Ceremony at Mount Rushmore National Memorial will transition to an earlier start time of 8:00 pm. The last evening lighting ceremony of the season will be held Sept. 30, 2011.
The sculpture will be lit at dusk for one hour starting Oct. 1, and that will continue nightly throughout the winter months.
Also beginning Aug. 14, the Information Center and the Lincoln Borglum Visitor Center will be closing at 9:00 pm.
