Star Watching Program at Haleakalā National Park
Saturday, Sept. 17, 2011; 7:30-8:30pm
Come and spend time with park staff for kilo hōkū (star watching). Leave the light pollution behind for an evening of stargazing and star lore.
When: 7:30-8:30pm, Saturday, Sept. 17
Where: Hosmer Grove (just inside the park); Look for the "starred" traffic cone.
Bring: Dress for cold temperatures and bring a red-filtered flashlight and binoculars if you have them.
Space is limited; No reservations.
The program is free. Park entrance fees apply ($10 per vehicle for a 3-day pass or $25 for an annual pass).
