BULLHEAD CITY, Ariz. - The National Park Service is asking for the public's help in locating a man who went missing yesterday. The man is Michael Johnson, 72, of Burbank, Calif. He went missing on Friday at about 1 p.m. He was last seen in front of the Lake Mohave Resort store at Katherine Landing in Lake Mead National Recreation Area. Johnson suffers from Alzheimer's disease and may be disoriented.
Johnson was wearing blue shirt, blue jeans, white tennis shoes and has a silver belt buckle. He also walks with a limp.
Park rangers and the Mohave County Sheriff's Office search and rescue team have been searching since yesterday for the man. Today additional teams have been brought in including a helicopter from the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
Johnson may be trying to get back to his home in California. The public, especially those traveling between Southern California and the Laughlin/Bullhead City area are asked to keep a look out for Johnson.
