Another red flag warning, following the one last week, has been issued by the National Weather Service for the North Bay hills and the East Bay hills. This warning will be in effect from Tuesday morning 6:00 a.m. until Wednesday 6:00 a.m., November 1 and 2. Park sites in San Mateo County are not affected.

Public restrictions in effect on Tuesday within Point Reyes National Seashore boundaries are:

2. all previously issued fire permits will become null and void;

3. Mt. Vision Road will be closed to all vehicle traffic; and

4. smoking will be prohibited on all park trails and backcountry areas.

Public restrictions that will be in effect on Tuesday at GGNRA sites in Marin County, including the Marin Headlands and Muir Woods National Monument are:

1. All fires, including campfires at Kirby Cove, beach fires at Muir beach, cooking fires and charcoal grills, are prohibited except for self-contained, portable gas stoves, which are allowed only in designated campground and picnic areas; and

2. smoking is prohibited in all areas of Muir Woods National Monument.
