BERLIN, Maryland: Still looking for that perfect gift for the beach lover on your Christmas list? How about a year-long entrance pass to the best beach the mid-Atlantic region has to offer - Assateague Island. The 2012 Annual Pass to Assateague Island National Seashore is now available. The $30 pass provides entrance to the National Seashore in both the Maryland and Virginia Districts from January 1st through December 31st 2012.

This year's Annual Pass features a beautiful photograph of a Bald Eagle flying over the beach on Assateague Island taken by local resident, park volunteer and avid surf fisherman Allen Sklar.

The 2012 Annual Passes may be purchased at the Park Entrance and Ranger Station in the Maryland District and the Toms Cove Visitor Center in the Virginia District.

For those who frequent other Federal fee areas, the 2012 America the Beautiful - The National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Annual Pass is available online at the USGS store. For $80.00 you have access to more than 2,000 recreation areas managed by five Federal agencies.
