Free Fishing Day 2012

The following press release was published by the U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service on June 4, 2012. It is reproduced in full below.

Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area will be offering an opportunity to fish with a National Park Ranger on Saturday, June 9, on Free Fishing Day in Tennessee. Meet at the Leatherwood Ford Trailhead gazebo at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time if you would like to participate in this fun event. Since this is free fishing day, no license is required. Bring your rod and reel and a personal flotation device if you have one. Take the necessary precautions to protect yourself from possible exposure to the sun and insects.

For further information, contact the Bandy Creek Visitor Center at (423) 286-7275.
