INDIANA DUNES NATIONAL LAKESHORE: The National Park Service, U.S. Coast Guard, Indiana Department of Natural Resources and several local agencies are searching Lake Michigan for a 15-year-old white male in the waters of Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore off the national park's Portage Lakefront area.

At approximately 5:30 p.m. today, a visitor saw someone in the water calling for help in waves of about 3 - 5 feet in height. They called 911. Helicopters from the US Coast Guard and Lake County Sheriff's Department along with boats and search crews from local fire and rescue departments are involved in the search. In addition to the National Park Service, U.S. Coast Guard, and Department of Natural Resources others assisting in the search include crews from the City of Portage, Burns Harbor, Porter, Ogden Dunes, Chesterton, and Lake County.

The National Weather Service had issued a Rip Current Risk Advisory for Sunday afternoon through Monday morning with waves expected to be in the range of 4-5 feet.
