Join the Junior Master Gardeners Program on Sunday, Aug. 12, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the Steuben Memorial State Historic Site, Monument Rd, Remsen, NY. At this time, the Junior Master Gardeners will be harvesting the historic garden plantings at Steuben Memorial State Historic Site as part of their ongoing service project. All Junior Master Gardeners need to hand in their reports on their Growums gardens as part of their Junior Master Gardener Service Project so that awards can be prepared. Awards will be given out on Sunday, September 16 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the Steuben Memorial State Historic Site, Monument Rd, Remsen, NY. The awards ceremony will be part of Steuben's Birthday celebration.
The Junior Master Gardeners Program engages children in novel, hands-on learning experiences that instill a love of gardening, develop an appreciation for the environment, and cultivate the mind. The Junior Master Gardener Program also inspires youth to serve others through service learning and leadership development projects.
