Mult-box - There will be a mult-box for radio/television crews to access the podium microphone; wireless plug-ins to the box will not be permitted.
Power - Power is not available at the site.
Filing area - There is little in the way of infrastructure at the memorial and media filing areas will not be provided. Likewise, wi-fi is not available on site.
Telephone lines - Telephone/cable lines are available from Verizon. Outlets are responsible for making their own arrangements. Contact Terry Metzger with Verizon at (814) 443-1651 or terry.metzger@verizon.com
SATELLITE TRUCK PARKING:
If the number of outlets requesting transmission trucks for this event exceeds the available parking space at the site of the memorial, space will be allotted based on order in which requests were received. Overflow parking will be provided, but at a distance that will preclude live broadcast within view of the memorial. A pool feed will be available.
All satellite trucks must be parked no later than 10:00 p.m. on September 9, 2011, the day before the dedication event. Trucks will be double-parked in assigned spaces in order to allow as many outlets as possible.
CABLE RUN:
Average distance is 400 feet, however, this run could be 500+ feet depending on the exact assigned parking location and platform you choose to use. The above calculations includes slack in the cable. Please be prepared to cover your cables, in case the cable must cross a pedestrian pathway. You will be responsible for securing and ensuring the safety of your cables.
THROW: 100 feet
