Satwiwa Native American Indian Culture Center Premieres New Art Exhibit October 7

NEWBURY PARK, Calif. -- The National Park Service will host an exhibit opening for Native American gourd mask artist Bernie Granados, Jr. on Sunday, October 7 at Satwiwa Native American Indian Culture Center. A talented Apache-Zacatec artist, Garanados produces visually stunning acrylic art and intricately painted gourd masks.

The exhibit will be open to the public from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., with a special presentation from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. The exhibit runs through January 5, 2013.

All ages are welcome and the program and parking are free.

Directions to Satwiwa Native American Indian Culture Center: From the Ventura Freeway (101), exit at Wendy Drive and head South. Turn right on Lynn Road. Turn left on Via Goleta. Continue all the way to a parking lot where the road ends. Walk 0.3 miles to the Culture Center. For questions, please call (805) 370-2301.
