Everglades National Park is hosting an exhibit in the Ernest F. Coe Visitor Center Gallery showcasing the military defense of south Florida following the Cuban Missile Crisis. The exhibit will feature historic photos and artifacts donated from Nike Missile Veterans and other individuals surrounding their experiences while defending south Florida.
Everglades National Park is home to one of four permanent U.S. Army Nike Missile sites that were constructed around Miami to defend south Florida during the Cold War past.
The public is invited to step back into time and see the exhibit which will be on display from September 15 through Oct. 30, 2012.
