Volunteer Restoration Project Set for December 1

NEWBURY PARK, Calif. -- The National Park Service will host a volunteer restoration project at Rancho Sierra Vista in Newbury Park on Saturday, December 1 from 9:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.

Help rangers restore wildlife habitat by preserving the diversity of native wetlands and grasslands. Volunteers will remove weeds, collect seeds and plant native species. Volunteers should wear long pants and brings gloves and tools if possible. Refreshments will be provided.

Directions:

From the 101 Freeway, exit at Wendy Drive and head south. Turn right on Lynn Road. Turn left on Via Goleta. Continue all the way to a parking lot where the road ends. Meet at restrooms.
