Women’s Rights National Historical Park Open Late during “It’s A Wonderful Life” Festival

SENECA FALLS, NY - Park Superintendent Tammy Duchesne announced today that the visitor center at 136 Fall Street will be open from 9:00 am until 8:00 pm on December 8, 2012. Visitors may view the 30-minute introductory film "Dreams of Equality," and tour the park's permanent and special weekend exhibits. "Everyone is invited to join us for all of our activities and special exhibits during the festival weekend," Superintendent Duchesne stated.

In celebration of the "It's a Wonderful Life" Festival, a variety of new activities are planned:

·December 8 and 9 9:30 am - 12:00 pm and 1:00 - 3:00. Children 12 and under may build a Holiday ornament or a craft to take home.

·Weekend display of Seneca County Historian Walter Gable's collection of vintage Holiday cards in the visitor center.

·A special exhibit of selections of Richard Hunt's personal papers.

"A festival that celebrates the goodness in all of us is a great way to get in the Holiday spirit," added Duchesne.
