Free Entrance Days in the National Parks
Savannah, GA - Martin Luther King, Jr. Day kicks off the first round of free entrance days in the National Parks in 2013. It's not too late to make a New Year's resolution to visit Fort Pulaski National Monument!
Not only is Fort Pulaski one of the most well-preserved fortifications in the Southeast, it is also surrounded by an abundance of natural beauty, looking out over the Savannah River, marshes, and woodland. Fort Pulaski National Monument has more than 5,600 acres of beautiful natural resources and wilderness.
Fort Pulaski National Monument is one of nearly 400 national parks across the country. All park entrance fees will be waived for 11 days in 2013. National Park Service fee-free dates in 2013 are Martin Luther King, Jr. Day (January 21), National Park Week (April 22-26), the National Park Service's Birthday (August 25), National Public Lands Day (September 28), and the weekend of Veterans Day (November 9-11). Throughout Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Fort Pulaski will provide guided tours of the fort and musket demonstrations.

Jarvis. "The fee free days will give both first time and repeat visitors a good reason to spend time exploring these remarkable places."
