The National Park Service will host an open house in Fairbanks on Thursday, April 18, from 5-7 pm at the Morris Thompson Cultural & Visitors Center. Attending will be NPS Regional Director Sue Masica, Denali NP Superintendent Don Striker, and Gates of the Arctic/Yukon-Charley Rivers NP Superintendent Greg Dudgeon.
'This evening is meant to be an open discussion of whatever topics or concerns area residents bring to the meeting,' said Dudgeon. Striker has been superintendent at Denali since last fall, and is looking forward to meeting Fairbanks residents who visit or have connections to the park.
The informal discussion at the center, which is home to the Alaska Public Lands Information Center, will also have light refreshments.
